Qualification For Membership (Article III - Section 4)Active members shall be all persons qualified who are either proprietors, managers, assistant managers, secretaries, performers and their booking agents or representatives, together with musicians identified with circuses, carnivals, fair associations, parks, wild west shows; also agents, auditors, car managers, legal adjusters, owners, secretaries, treasurers, ride operators and concessionaires identified with outdoor amusements, as above specified; also bill-posters, proprietors, managers, editors, assistant editors and reporters of weekly, monthly, theatrical and amusement magazines and journals. The Board of Governors may admit manufacturer's managers or representatives or manufacturers who are universally recognized by the outdoor amusement profession, as principally or exclusively engaged in the sale or manufacture of outdoor show commodities. No person shall be accepted as an active member unless such person is of sound mind and body, good character and over the age of 18 years. A year in the business would be whatever constitutes a season for the area of show business in which a person is actively engaged or a minimum of 12 weeks. Any exceptions to this ruling must be made with the recommendation of the Membership Committee and the approval of the Board of Governors.
